Ko Erina Watene-Rawiri ahau, he uri au no Waikato-Tainui. Nei raa te mihi ki a koutou.

Erina is of the Waikato-Tainui tribe in New Zealand. She is a freshwater Scientist based at NIWA in Hamilton where she is part of the Te Kūwahateam which is NIWA’s National Centre for Maori Environmental Research. Prior to that she worked for her tribe Waikato-Tainui as the Waikato-Tainui College for Research and Development as the River Research Manager. She has been heavily involved with many Maaori led research projects, with a particular focus on Freshwater Fisheries and River Restoration.

Erina’s interests outside of work are her whānau.
