Dr Margaret Brock

Margaret has been a member of AFSS (ASL) since 1977. She has over 40 years experience in wetland ecology and botany involving teaching, research and delivery of science to management in ACT, SA, WA, NSW and now contributes in an honorary capacity from Tasmania. Her specific areas of expertise are in temporary wetland ecology (freshwater, salt lake and saltmarshes) and the role of seed banks in resilience and recovery of aquatic ecosystems. She is co-author of both editions of Australian Freshwater Ecology-processes and management (1999, 2014) and author of many peer reviewed and other publications.  She was president of ASL in 1994-5 and was awarded the Australian Society for Limnology Medal in 2008.
